Weekly Classes

Join the Vancouver community and bring your friends and family to classes at VWS! You’ll benefit from a variety of movement classes offered throughout the week by both our VWS practitioners and wonderful teachers from the area. Our policy: come as you are. If there’s a class requirement we’ll mention it in the class description (see below).

Yoga & Dance Weekly Classes

Take part in yoga and dance classes at our studio near the waterfront. Classes are held each week (unless otherwise noted). Register now to let us know you’re coming, or feel free to drop-in when you can. Get class passes and save! Find options in class descriptions below.

NEW! Beginning Hip-Hop (Adult)

An introduction to a variety of Hip-Hop styles with a fun and energetic routine. This is a one-hour class that includes a warm up and cool down. You can expect basic movements with super fun and attainable sequencing. If you've ever moved your body in rhythm to your favorite song, then this class is for you!

Instructor: Michelle Baiocchi
A BlazerDancer for 5 seasons, Michelle danced and served as co-captain her last season with the Portland Trail Blazers. She's also danced for Vancouver Volcanoes IBL, Portland Lumber Jack's and Portland Thunder. Grab a friend, come dance and have a fun time!

Chair Yoga
10 - 11:15 am

If you’ve hesitated to go to a yoga class because you have difficulty getting down to the floor and back up again, try this class! Chair yoga allows your yoga practice to meet you where you are, regardless of age, fitness level, or physical condition. Poses are adapted to use a chair as an extension of the body, adding support and stability. This class helps increase flexibility and mobility, builds strength, and increases body awareness. Yoga breathing (pranayama) and relaxation techniques are incorporated in this rejuvenating practice for overall mind and body wellness.

This hour long practice is designed to build balance, body awareness, and vitality as we begin our day. Class will start with dynamic exercises to wake the body and progress into a strong vinyasa flow with active stretching. We’ll close with restorative postures followed by a short meditation. All levels welcome.

Instructor: Dylan Bird, LMT, RYT-200
With an extensive background in natural health, sports, martial arts, and fitness, Dylan’s classes are a blend of various movement styles. His distinct sequencing has the intention of cultivating a deeper connection with yourself and your practice. With an understanding that everyone is unique, Dylan leaves space for modifications and encourages everyone to find their own intuitive movement. His classes are open to everyone, from curious beginners to experienced yogis.

Postpartum Yoga (Baby & me)

Yoga for new moms at least 6 weeks postpartum with baby up to crawling or about 8 months old.

Radiant Self Kundalini Yoga & Gong Bath
4:30 - 5:45 pm

Kundalini Yoga is called the human being’s owner’s manual; a technology that awakens the human super powers and raises your energetic vibratory signature! We are energetic beings and when we feel better, we do better!

This yoga practice blends aerobic sequences, asana, postures, pranayama (specific breathing techniques) visualization and meditation to refresh, recharge and realign to create a fulfilling body mind spirit experience!

Each class ends with the relaxing sound healing of the Gong Bath.

Saha Devi is a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher and her gentle yet powerful teaching is appropriate for beginners and beyond.
